I avoided writing about this topic. Avoided it like it’s a hot fire, ready to burn my fingertips if I even broach it. But really, how can writing about this pandemic be avoided? Writer’s write about what’s going on in our lives, whether that’s through memoirs, on a social media post, scribbled down into a private journal, or weaved into a fantastic storyline. What has become in the world is far from fantastic.
After 50 years, I have written a book. Now the book is sitting in front of me, staring me down, willing me to finish it. The Fear of Failure is Real.
